The Sorcerer

Maybe the biggest expert in the field. He is close friends with his “compadres” Concheros, with witches and with nahuales (a shaman in the prehispanic cultures). He is a self-taught author of one of the most important books to understand contemporary Concheros. A mystical watch maker, a lover of night and its secrets, a philosopher and popular historian. He is an academic of the esoteric world and warns that, if such knowledge is used for personal benefit, it will turn on the person using it. He is generous in sharing what he knows but is vaguely resentful of not having yet received the support and credit that his work deserves.

He sometimes feels used by other researchers, who he doesn´t trust completely. Nostalgia and the desire to preserve this legacy are the forces that move him. But a greater force lies underneath: an irresistible attraction to the other side, to obtain knowledge meant for only a few, to answer his questions about the mysteries of life and death.
